In the most recent local elections the Green Party were the main challengers to Labour locally and were less than 3% behind Labour with the Lib Dems and Conservatives way behind. There is no danger of the Conservatives winning in Huddersfield!

Green candidates in May elections for Kirklees Council recorded some stunning victories and a near miss.
