Huddersfield: Greens come second
Andrew Cooper was second in Huddersfield and polled 10,568 votes – only 4.500 votes behind Labour – one of the biggest Green votes in the country.
He fought a dynamic campaign which reached all parts of the constituency, which already has 4 Green Party councillors.
The use of social media, strong leaflets and a last minute election day “push” created high profile and a lot of public support for a principled policies on inequality, health services, climate crisis and on Gaza/Palestine. .
